2 Indramayu Officials Detained For RTH Corruption Case, Private Party's Turn Called By The Attorney General's Office

BANDUNG - The West Java High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) summoned two private parties with the initials PP and N after the detention of two Indramayu Regency Government officials. Indramayu officials are suspected of being involved in the alleged corruption case of Green Open Space Arrangement (RTH).

Head of West Java Attorney General's Office, Dodi Gazali, said the two private parties had been named as suspects. Both were summoned to undergo examination next week.

"Actually, the two people have been declared suspects, but they are sick, so the only two detained are from officials in Indramayu," said Dodi in Bandung, West Java, quoted by Antara, Friday, October 1.

There are also two officials within the Indramayu Regency Government, namely the initials S as Head of the Housing, Settlement Area and Land Office of Indramayu Regency and the initials BSM as Head of Settlement Areas at the same service.

For now, according to Dodi, the two officials have been detained at the Bandung Polrestabes Rutan. They plan to be detained for the next 20 days.

As for the two people from the private sector, it is planned that they will be examined to confirm their involvement in the alleged corruption case.

Meanwhile, the Assistant for Special Crimes (Aspidsus) of the West Java Prosecutor's Office, Riyono, explained that the four people were named suspects for allegedly engineering the park arrangement process.

In addition, according to him, they are also suspected of fabricating payments and making fake documents to carry out garden arrangements that are not in accordance with specifications.

"In its implementation, it is not in accordance with this specification, we have checked and then paid 100 percent, even though it is not 100 percent," he said.

Meanwhile, Riyono suspects that the suspects have caused losses to the state of Rp. 2 billion from the contract value of the project, which is Rp. 14 billion.

The four suspects were charged with Article 2 Paragraph (1), Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of Law No. 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law No. 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law No. 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts. Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code.
