COVID-19 Update As Of October 1st: 1,624 New Cases, Accumulated 4,216,728 Cases

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 251,368 specimens were examined with the result that there were 1,624 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4,213,414 people and active cases are 34,867," said Ministry of Health data, Friday, October 1.

Today's recovered cases increased by 2,811 cases, bringing the total to 4,039,835 recovered people. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 87 people and a total of 142,026 people.

The province with the most new cases is DKI Jakarta with 151 cases and a total of 857,916 cases. Followed by East Java with 124 new cases with a total of 395,599 cases. West Java has 115 new cases and a total of 702,877 cases. Then, Central Java with 107 new cases and a total of 482,116 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to East Java with an additional 224 recovered cases. Followed by Central Java with an additional 214 recovered cases, North Sumatra with an additional 214 recovered cases, and Bali with an additional 181 recovered cases.

No province has reported no new cases as of today. In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 39,372,853.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 1.51 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 384,552 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 92,161,001 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 51,750,697 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 940,475. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
