TikTok Efforts To Escape From The Chinese Application Level
JAKARTA - TikTok's creative video application in recent months has become the center of attention from various countries due to security issues. Therefore, the company plans to build a head office in London, England.
Quoting Reuters, Monday 20 July, the plan has been discussed with the British government. TikTok said this was done as part of a strategy to distance itself from Chinese ownership.

The company, which is owned by ByteDance, has also leased an office in California, United States (US) this year. At the same time asking Kevin Mayer, a former Walt Disney Co executive, to become the chief executive of US-based TikTok.
Unfortunately, TikTok has refused to confirm its plans.
It is known, TikTok has indeed been facing intense scrutiny from Washington recently due to security concerns. TikTok is suspected of being forced by the Chinese government to hand over user data and become a spy for the country.
Even US President Donald Trump recently made a campaign ad containing a petition to refuse to use TikTok because of the same problem, namely national security.
"As has been reported in several places I think TikTok is going to pull out of a parent company run by China and operating as an independent American company. That's a much better solution than banning (or) pushing it out," said President Trump's chief economic adviser. , Larry Kudlow.
For information, TikTok currently also employs around 1,000 people in Europe, with most of them based in the UK and Ireland. The Sunday Times reports that TikTok's decision to build its UK headquarters has the potential to create 3,000 jobs.
