AGO Investigate Assets Of Corruption Defendant Asabri Benny Tjokro In NTB

MATARAM - The Attorney General's Office has investigated the assets belonging to the accused in corruption in the management of PT Asabri Benny Tjokrosaputro's stock and mutual fund investment funds in West Nusa Tenggara.

Spokesperson for the NTB Prosecutor's Office, Dedi Irawan, confirmed the existence of a team from the AGO in NTB.

"His activities are in the context of tracing assets belonging to corruption defendants at PT Asabri. This activity is an effort by the Indonesian Attorney General's Office to recover state losses from his case," said Dedi Irawan, quoted by Antara, Thursday, September 30.

He said there were three teams from the AGO that went down to NTB. They were spread to the islands of Lombok and Sumbawa.

"So there are several points that are checked. Some are in Mataram and some are in Sumbawa," he said.

The assets located on Sumbawa Island are in the form of an area of 297.2 hectares in the form of 151 plots of land in Sepayung Village, Plampang District, Sumbawa Regency.

From the results of the examination, the object, which is estimated to be worth Rp. 30 billion, belongs to Benny and his younger brother, Teddy Tjokrosaputro.

Last May, the projected land for this residential area was confiscated by the Indonesian Attorney General's Office Investigator. The confiscation has received a determination from the Head of the Sumbawa Besar District Court No: 194/Pen.Pid/2021/PN.Sbw dated May 18, 2021.

Then for tracking assets in Mataram City, it relates to the Lombok City Center shopping center in Narmada, West Lombok Regency.

The shopping center, which is no longer operating, is related to assets belonging to PT Bliss Property Indonesia with the stock code on the Indonesia Stock Exchange POSA. The company is the parent company of PT Bliss Pembangunan Sejahtera (BPS), the operator of the Lombok City Center.

The assets belonging to POSA are located on a 4.8 hectare land owned by the West Lombok Regional Company, PT Patut Patuh Patju (Tripat).

From the POSA prospectus, it was revealed that Benny Tjokrosaputro was the owner of five million shares with a value of Rp500 million or equivalent to 0.0596 percent of the shares.

This value is based on the initial public offering price in April 2019, valued at Rp150 per share.

POSA's capital is known to come from PT Bintang Baja Hitam with ownership of 79.67 percent shares, PT BS Investasi Pratama with 0.0001 percent shares and the public with 20.2650 percent shares.

Furthermore, POSA uses 79 percent of the shares from the proceeds from the initial public offering for the construction of shopping center operations, building and equipment maintenance, and/or paying obligations related to the company's activities.

Of the 79 percent, most of it is used for subsidiaries, including PT BPS, which gets the capital allotment to manage Lombok City Center.

Dedi said the tracking of these assets was in the context of recovering state losses of Rp. 23 trillion. Its authority is directly under the Indonesian Attorney General's Office. His party only supports activities while in the jurisdiction of the NTB Prosecutor's Office.

"We only carry out the 'back-up' function, because it is in the NTB area," he said.
