JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) immediately contacted Sabam Sirait's family after hearing about the death of the founder of the PDI-Perjuangan.

To his family, Jokowi expressed his deep condolences for the passing of Sabam Sirait. Jokowi conveyed that the family left behind was steadfast and sincere.
