Bank Mandiri Employee Sharon Florencia Becomes Minister Of State-Owned Enterprises For A Day, Erick Thohir: Not A Deposit!
JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir ensured that the passing of the finalist for 'girls take over BUMN 2021' Sharon Florencia to replace herself as Minister of BUMN was purely because of Sharon's ability to compete with 7,000 other finalists. He also emphasized that there was no 'entrustment' element in the election.
As is known, Sharon Florencia, who was born in Magelang, Central Java, was appointed as an employee of Bank Mandiri since May 19, 2019. During the recruitment of the state-owned bank, she was selected as the best graduate office development program (ODP).
"There is no deposit, right? No, right? We (Ministry of SOEs) did not participate in selecting (finalists) right? No. So I am happy, from the 6 best there are two talents from BUMN," said Erick, when met at Telkom, Thursday, 30 September.
Erick, in the years to come, more and more young BUMN talents will join the 'Girls Take Over' program and compete openly with other finalists.
"I hope that in the coming years there will be more SOEs, young SOE talents will compete openly, like today I got two figures of Sharon and Putri, one is BUMN talent, the other is Indonesian talent. It's not different from BUMN and Indonesia, right," he said.
Erick said that Sharon's appointment as SOE Minister for a day was part of the "Indonesian Human Capital Forum" (FHCI) program. Where this is a commitment to the realization of gender equality in the BUMN environment.
"I really hope that the human capital program must be the key to the transformational change in BUMN. Therefore, from the beginning when the BUMN human capital forum presented the 'girls take over' program, I immediately welcomed it," he explained.
For your information, Sharon Florencia from today replaces Erick Thohir as Minister of SOEs for one day. Sharon and 6 participants of the #GirlsTakeover program, were selected from around 7 thousand registrants.
Meanwhile, the 5 female finalists of the program, on the same day will also play a role in leading the BUMN as the main director (Director) in 5 BUMN. The five SOEs are Bank BRI, Bank Mandiri, Angkasa Pura I, Kimia Farma, and Telkomsel.
