Anies Will Evict Dozens Of Houses In Karet Tengsin To Restore Regional Assets

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government plans to evict dozens of houses that house 40 families on Jalan Mutiara, RT 007 RW 004, Karet Tengsin, Central Jakarta.

The eviction plan was carried out because DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswesan wanted to return the assets of the area inhabited by the 40 families.

Head of the DKI Regional Asset Management Agency (BPAD), Reza Pahlevi, said that this effort was carried out after the DKI Provincial Government won the court's decision.

"The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government in securing assets must comply with existing regulations. This safeguard is a court decision with permanent legal force," said Reza when contacted, Thursday, September 30.

However, at this time the eviction has not been carried out. First, the DKI Provincial Government will secure assets in the form of installing a sign on the 4,695 square meter land first.

"Installing the signposts, a coordination meeting has been carried out, including with the parties occupying the area. Thus, the installation of the asset signposts has also been identified who occupied the area," said Reza.

Reza emphasized that there was no rejection from residents when the signposts were installed. At that time, the installation was assisted by the police, the TNI, the Central Jakarta District Attorney, and the Central Jakarta BPN Office.

"On the same day, the limit for the certificate of use rights will be returned to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government," he said. Then, the DKI Provincial Government will conduct socialization to residents who will be evicted. They will be asked to move to an existing flat (rusun) before their residence is razed to the ground.

"We will socialize and inform then offer flats. Many flats are still empty," said Reza.

However, Reza admitted that he did not know which flats were offered by the residents. "This is the authority of the Housing Office. We from BPAD will facilitate and coordinate with the Housing Office," he added.
