Governor Anies Requests Dredging Of Krukut River To Be Completed Quickly

Jakarta - The Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Rasid Baswedan, inspected the dredging of the Krukut River on Jalan Sudirman, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta. Anies immediately checked the dredging activities using heavy equipment.

It was also seen that Anies spoke to the Head of the Central Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept., Abdul Rauf Gaffar, who was accompanied by the Central Jakarta SDA Sub-dept. officers.

Anies said his arrival was to ensure that the preparations made by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government and stakeholders to check the dredging in Krukut River. Moreover, a little more will enter the month of the rainy season.

"I just want to make sure that the dredging work must be completed," said Governor Anies at the location, Thursday, September 30.

Anies explained that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government through the SDA Service was carrying out preparations such as dredging reservoirs, cleaning culverts and dredging rivers. It is ensured that the sediment is transported so that there is no obstruction to the flow.

"Hopefully we can face the rainy season tomorrow with a state of avoiding flooding," he said.
