Mark Hoppus Blink-182 Announces Cured From Cancer
JAKARTA - Blink-182 vocalist, Mark Hoppus announced that he was cured of cancer. Through social media today, September 30, he shared his latest news.
“Just saw my oncologist and I am cured of cancer. Thank you God, universe, family, friends, and everyone who is supportive and kind,” said Mark Hoppus.
Despite being declared cured, Mark Hoppus will have to have a checkup every six months until the end of this year.
"I still have to be checked every six months until the end of the year to get back to normal but today was an amazing day and I feel grateful," he continued.
Previously, Mark Hoppus announced he had cancer last June. He never mentioned what type of cancer he had but said he would try to recover so he could return to concerts.
Hoppus also shared some moments of treatment via Instagram. He assured fans that he could still carry on as usual.
“I feel much better than yesterday. Yesterday was really bad for me and I woke up better today," he said at the time.
Mark Hoppus' recovery has been greeted positively by fellow musicians and fans. They were happy because Hoppus had struggled to recover from his illness.
