Ballon D'Or Awards Return This Year, Save The Date
JAKARTA - After being postponed last year, the prestigious Ballon d'Or award bestowed by France Football is back. The trophy for the 2021 edition will be handed out on November 29.
Launching MARCA, Thursday, the prize for the best male footballer in the world will be chosen by 180 journalists and a list of 30 players will be announced on October 8.
The award for the best female player, in its third edition, will be chosen by 50 specialist journalists.
Meanwhile, the Kopa Trophy, which is also organized by France Football will be selected by 32 former Ballon d'Or winners, first selecting 10 lists.
The prize for the best goalkeeper, the Yashin Trophy, will be chosen by the same jury as the men's Ballon d'Or.
All of these awards will be distributed at a gala event at the Chatelet Theater in Paris on November 29.

Men's Ballon d'Or: Lionel Messi.
Women's Ballon d'Or: Megan Rapinoe.
Yashin Cup: Alisson Becker.
Kopa Trophy: Matthijs de Ligt.
