Juventus Vs Chelsea: Frederico Chiesa's Single Goal Brings The Bianconeri To Beat The Blues

JAKARTA - Juventus successfully beat defending champion Chelsea 1-0 in the Champions League Group H match at Allianz Stadium, Italy on Thursday morning.

According to Antara, the only goal in this match was scored by Federico Chiesa.

Despite being the visitors, Chelsea appeared dominant throughout the 90 minutes by recording possession of the ball by 73.1 percent compared to Juventus which was only 26.9 percent.

Chelsea took the initiative to attack early in the game. They tried to threaten through Mateo Kovaci kick from outside the penalty box in the 3rd minute. However, the ball was still too weak to be easily caught by Wojciech Szczesny.

In the 6th minute, Chelsea again had a chance. Marcos Alonso's low corner was snatched by Romelu Lukaku, but Szczesny kept the ball calm.

Chelsea was still dominant until the first 15 minutes of the match. Juventus seemed to have difficulty developing the game because Chelsea had a high enough press.

Juventus could steal the opportunity in the 20th minute. Kovacic made a mistake in the Chelsea defense and the ball went to Federico Chiesa, who went straight into the box before firing home. However, his efforts were wide of Edouard Mendy's goal.

Chelsea continued to pound the Juventus defense, but the hosts could provide a threat several times.
