Papua PON Schedule 30 September: 14 Gold Medals Up For Grabs
JAKARTA - A total of 14 gold medals will be contested by participants of the XX Papua National Sports Week (PON) from four sports on Thursday, September 30.
Judo is the sport with the most, six gold pieces. While roller skates will compete for the four highest medals in the biggest sporting event in the country.
Rock climbing and wushu sports will compete in two gold medal competitions each.
Based on data from the Panwasrah Headquarters Command Post as reported by Antara, the Jayapura Regency cluster will hold competitions from six sports, namely, cricket, hang gliding, baseball, archery, muaythai, and water polo.
Meanwhile in the Jayapura City cluster, nine sports will hold matches on Thursday. Such as rowing, paragliding, sepak takraw, baseball, softball, tennis, rollerblading, indoor volleyball, and soccer.
Then in the Mimika cluster, the competition for Papua PON participants will take place in the sports of kite flying, judo, rock climbing, and 5x5 basketball.
Meanwhile, in the Merauke Regency cluster, there is only one sport that will hold a match on Thursday, namely wushu.
