BANGKA - Sad news came from Central Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province. So far, 172 people have died from COVID-19.
Head of the Central Bangka Health Office, Zaitun, said that up to now, 6,478 residents have been confirmed positive for COVID-19.
Of the 6,478 figures, 6,176 have recovered, 130 are still being treated (active cases) and 172 people have died.
"We are very concentrated on handling cases of the new corona virus by continuing to vaccinate, socialize health protocols and prepare all adequate medical equipment," said Zaitun to reporters as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, September 29.
He also appealed to residents not to be complacent and to continue to be careful with the spread of the COVID-19 virus. .
The three lowest case distribution sub-districts are Lubuk Besar, Sungaiselan and Sungaiselan sub-districts.
The tabulated data also records that the age of residents vulnerable to being exposed to the new corona virus is 55 to 69 years.
