Stamped By The Street Parliament By The Chairman Of The DKI DPRD, PAN: Very Bad!

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of the DKI DPRD from the PAN faction, Zita Anjani, admitted that she did not accept the statement by the Chairperson of the DKI DPRD, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, who branded 7 factions rejecting the Interpellation Formula E as "street parliaments."

The seven factions in question are the Gerindra Party, PKS, PAN, Democrat, Nasdem, Golkar, and PKB-PPP.

"How come the 7 factions are called 'street parliaments'? They are accused of being given money by the governor. That's really bad," Zita said to reporters, Wednesday, September 29.

Zita asked Prasetyo to respect the political stance of the 7 factions who rejected the interpellation as the right to ask the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan.

The residents of DKI, said Zita, must also understand that the attitude of the 7 factions is the majority vote in the Kebon Sirih parliament, compared to PDIP and PSI which only have 2 factions. If Prasetyo was adamant in wanting to carry out the interpellation, Zita considered that he did not respect the democratic process in the DPRD.

"Come on, let's learn to respect each other, this DPRD is a respectable institution that is collegial in nature. No one party can feel that it is more senior to justify any means," he said.

Zita admitted that the current dynamics in the DKI DPRD are far from political values. Even though he is part of a polemic faction, he also admits that this problem is detrimental to the citizens of Jakarta.

"Poor Jakarta residents, we show things like this. People's representatives should be present in the midst of public anxiety. These are difficult times, the economy is difficult, food is difficult, let's empathize," said Zita.

Previously, the chairman of the DKI DPRD, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, admitted that he was surprised by the attitude of the seven DPRD factions and the four deputy chairmen of the DPRD who vehemently rejected the interpellation plenary meeting of Formula E set out in the DPRD Deliberative Body meeting.

They rejected the plenary meeting because they thought that the interpellation discussion was not included in the Bamus agenda.

Prasetyo regretted the attitude of the seven factions who expressed their refusal outside the forum after the Bamus meeting ended. In fact, he said, the rejection should have been realized in a plenary meeting.

"This Bamus is a plenary forum in a plenary meeting. Later, what is called a quorum or not a quorum, occurs in a plenary session. Don't make it look like a street parliament," Prasetyo told reporters, Tuesday, September 28.
