Viral Cafe In Malang Held 'Halal Discotheque', Police Visited Immediately
MALANG - Viral cafe in Malang, East Java, has transformed its building into a discotheque arena complete with musical arrangements. It can also be seen in the video that a crowd of young people is enjoying music while dancing happily.
Even though currently Malang is still implementing PPKM. The discotheque video was originally uploaded on the TikTok account @PrestonCoffeeCo.
After being traced, the cafe was named Preston Coffee. The activity entitled 'Halal Discotheque' is often held at the cafe on Jalan Soekarno-Hatta every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday.
Because they invited a crowd and were still PPKM, the police immediately went to the cafe and gave a warning.
"We visited as soon as the video went viral. We also give warnings to cafe owners to obey the health procedures and comply with PPKM rules," said Head of Samapta Malang City Police Commissioner Syabain Rahmad Kusriyanto confirmed, Wednesday, September 29.
In the warning, Rahmad conveyed that visitor restrictions still apply from the capacity of the building. In addition, the implementation of prokes must also be obeyed considering that the pandemic is not over yet.
In addition, the police warned that this incident would not happen again. According to Rahmad, his party will carry out routine patrols so that these activities do not happen again.
"If later they are still stubborn, yes, they will be sanctioned, but that is the domain of the Satpol PP," he explained.
Information gathered by Rahmad from the owner, that the activity was indeed at Preston Coffee. Held with a duration of 2 hours with a pegged tariff of Rp. 40 thousand.
“So when we arrived, the event was over. At that time, we checked that there was no alcohol and drugs and it was according to the program's title, namely Halal Discotheque," he concluded.
