Eight Suspects Of Teenage Murder In Sikka Threatened To 15 Years In Prison
KUPANG - Eight suspects in the murder case against Yoris (17), a teenager from Habibola Hamlet, Waihawa Village, Bola District, Sikka Regency, were sentenced to 15 years in prison for their actions on Monday, September 27.
"Eight people have been arrested by us, and out of the eight people, we have named a suspect with one of them as the perpetrator of the stabbing," said Sikka Police Chief AKBP Sajimin when contacted from Kupang, reported by Antara, Wednesday, September 29.
He conveyed this in connection with the development of a stabbing case that resulted in a teenager being killed after attending a party in the area.
The eight people who were arrested and named as suspects were Stanislaus Silvanus, Albertus Novensius, BLasisus Blebu, Theofelus D Jonso, Mateus R, Ambrosius Nong Dande, Ardianus Putra, and Innocent Ronaldo.
"Of the eight suspects, Mateus R is the perpetrator who stabbed the victim with a knife," he added. The police chief said that earlier on Tuesday, September 28 at around 13.00 WITA the perpetrators, namely MR, Albertus Novensius, and TD were arrested at home witness R in Hewokloang District.
After arresting the three people, the police then summoned five witnesses who then pointed to the perpetrator.
Sajimin further said that the perpetrators were subject to Article 80 of the Child Protection Act in conjunction with Article 170 Paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code with a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison.
"The victim herself is known to be 17 years old, so we apply the Law on Child Protection," he added.
