Daniel Craig Says Farewell During Premiere No Time To Die

JAKARTA - Actor Daniel Craig has ended his role as James Bond in the film No Time to Die which will be released on September 30.

The 53-year-old actor has spoken about his feelings about starring in the James Bond character since 2006.

"The decision to leave (James Bond) is still there, I'm delighted we still have the opportunity to celebrate and make a premiere," Daniel Craig quoted WalesOnline as saying today, 29 September.

Daniel Craig feels grateful for being able to finish the James Bond story. "I'm grateful for the fact I was able to finish one last story," he said.

When asked for a message for the next James Bond cast, Daniel Craig replied that the person must create his own identity.

Producer Barbara Broccoli still wants to enjoy Daniel Craig as James Bond and has no plans to immediately find a replacement.

"It's quite difficult. I think today is celebrating his achievements, giving him time. Next year, we're going to start thinking about Bond's future," Barbara told the Hollywood Reporter.

Daniel Craig played James Bond for the first time in 2006 in the film Casino Royale. Later, he returned with the James Bond franchise for the films Quantum of Solace (2008), Skyfall (2012), Specter (2015), and No Time to Die (2021).

The film No Time to Die will air on September 30 worldwide, including Indonesia.
