Can Fly 800 Km Per Hour, This Chinese Advanced Drone Can Interfere With Electronic Device Functions
JAKARTA – Recently, China exhibited an advanced unmanned aircraft called the CH-6. The Chinese-made drones are expected to be used to protect the South China Sea area from US intervention.
The unmanned drone serves to increase espionage and can also carry out more accurate attacks by targeting the military. On the other hand, the CH-6 can also accelerate to a speed of 800 kilometers per hour. The CH-6 drone can also be disassembled, both wings and engines.
The CH-6 drone was exhibited at the China Airshow held in Zhuhai, Guangdong a few days ago. China also has other types of drones that are no less sophisticated, namely the WZ-7 and J-16D fighter jets which are rumored to be able to damage the function of electronic devices. The jet is predicted to be a competitor to the Boeing EA-18G Growler owned by the United States.
Malcolm Davis, a senior analyst focused on China's security at the Australian Strategic Policy Institute, said the two Chinese drones could add to China's attack power and defense strategy, especially in the South China Sea region.
"Operationally, these platforms - the WZ-7 and CH-6 - will be used alongside Chinese drones and other autonomous systems, as well as piloted aircraft, to provide reconnaissance and attack capabilities against US and allied forces operating in the Indo-Pacific," it said. Davis, as quoted from the South China Morning Post.
In addition, Davis also said that this Chinese drone was specially designed for surveillance and reconnaissance. All of them are designed to detect the presence of United States Navy troops. Not only that, the unmanned drone can also track US soldiers.
Launching GlobalTimes, the advantages of the drone are high performance, easy to maintain and highly reliable. This was conveyed by the Chief Engineer and Designer of the drone series, Shi Wen.
In addition, the CH-817 mini attack drone was also present. The mini drone can be used by a soldier alone considering it weighs only about 800 grams and has a durability of 15 minutes. Shi called the CH-817 mini drone a “flying grenade.”
