Groin Injury, Alexander-Arnold Doubtful Appears Against Man City

JAKARTA - Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold is a doubt for the Premier League clash against league champions Manchester City this Sunday due to a groin injury.

The 22-year-old right-back suffered a groin problem in training on Monday and missed the trip to Portugal for their Champions League group game against Porto.

"Not long after training (Monday), Trent came in a little bit early but didn't look serious. We made further assessments and it turned out to be serious," said Jurgen Klopp before the match against Porto at the Estadio do Dragao.

"He didn't go with us. And it also doesn't look good for the game against City later. It's a muscle problem. We thought it was light, that he was just a little tired from the game (against Brentford) but it turned out to be more and now we have to deal with it."

Liverpool, who are the only team unbeaten in the Premier League this season, top the Premier League table with 14 points, one ahead of second-placed City.
