Support Care For The Environment, PGN Supply Gas Needs For Paper Recycling Companies

BEKASI – PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN) distributed its initial gas to PT Fajar Surya Wisesa Tbk (FajarPaper). The volume of gas flowing is 6.14 – 9.2 BBTUD for production plant maintenance purposes.

PGN's Director of Sales and Operations Faris Aziz said, PGN's gas distribution uses a seasonal sales scheme. Where the gas volume is adjusted to customer needs. This is a form of providing optimal benefits to customers.

“Gas subholding optimizes all capabilities in terms of supply and infrastructure, so that natural gas needs can be served both in the short and long term. However, it still provides economic value that is mutually beneficial to both parties," said Faris in an official statement, Jakarta, Tuesday, September 28.

Faris also hopes that natural gas services to FajarPaper can further encourage PGN's market growth in the Bekasi area and its surroundings.

Gas distribution to FajarPaper uses PT Pertamina EP (PEP) meter facilities at Pertagas Station Tegal Gede Bekasi and Pertagas Pipeline, with the mechanism for utilizing State Property (BMN) managed by the Ministry of Finance's DJKN.

PGN's Director of Infrastructure and Technology, Achmad Muchtasyar, explained that the use and operation of joint measuring instruments was used to distribute gas from PEP, PGN, and Pertagas to FajarPaper.

"PGN implements the right gas infrastructure integration so that the gas in (gas distribution) process runs smoothly according to the SOP. This infrastructure integration is one proof of the effectiveness of the formation of the Pertamina Subholding Group, especially in Gas Subholding," said Achmad.

FajarPaper is a packaging paper manufacturer in Indonesia. Natural gas is one of the energy that can provide efficiency and the cleanest compared to other fossil fuels. This added value of natural gas supports FajarPaper as a company that cares about the environment. Every FajarPaper product comes from recycled paper and uses environmentally friendly energy-fueled production machines. Previously, PGN in the Bekasi area also distributed its first natural gas to PT AlumindoAlloy Abadi. The addition of new industrial customers was also carried out in the Deltamas Industrial Estate such as PT Summit Seoyeon Automotive Indonesia and PT Yili Indonesia Dairy. The total gas volume from the addition of new industries from January to September 2021 in the Bekasi area is 6.6 BBTUD.
