Semarang Mayor Asks Residents To Report TPU Extortion
SEMARANG - Mayor of Semarang Hendrar Prihadi asked the public to report any illegal levies (extortion) in the utilization of this local government's public cemetery (TPU).
According to the mayor who is familiarly called Hendi, the Semarang City Government has freed the government's TPU levies, including the use of the city government's body ambulance.
In the city of Semarang itself there are 16 TPU owned by the city government.
"TPU is free of charge. This is part of the birth to death insurance program initiated by the Semarang City Government," he said.
According to the mayor, the policy is expected to ease the burden on the people of Semarang City.
