Teen Lover Killer With Fish Poison In Kediri Arrested, Frustrated Because Victim Is Pregnant

KEDIRI - The Kediri Resort Police Team, East Java, arrested N, a teenager who killed his underage girlfriend.

"We managed to apprehend perpetrator 'N'. The perpetrator of this premeditated murder can be traced from a cellphone conversation between the suspect and victim Q. Because, from the last chat, indeed the victim had communicated with the perpetrator 'N'," said Kediri Police Chief AKBP Lukman Cahyono quoted Between, Tuesday, September 28.

The police chief said that the perpetrator admitted that he communicated with 'Q', a 14-year-old teenager, who was his girlfriend. The person concerned admitted that he was confused after Q claimed to be pregnant.

"'N' also admitted that his actions were due to feelings of confusion, because he was still a child but his girlfriend actually admitted that she was pregnant," he said.

To the police, the perpetrator admitted to having a husband and wife relationship with the victim. During the last communication, the victim claimed to be pregnant. The two then met on a volleyball court, in Bolorejo Hamlet, Tiru Lor Village, Gurah District, Kediri Regency, on Friday (24/9).

The perpetrator then gave a drink that was claimed to be herbal medicine to be given to the victim. However, it turned out that the drink contained fish poison. The victim drank it until he died.

"To determine the cause of death, we are waiting for the results of the autopsy of the victim. Including whether it is true that the victim's death was caused by being poisoned by the perpetrator," he said.

The police have secured a number of evidences, including the victim's and the perpetrator's cell phones, the victim's clothes, and the bicycle the perpetrator used to meet the victim.

During a search of his home, police officers found evidence in the form of fish poison residue which was allegedly used as an additional ingredient in herbal concoctions.

The person concerned will be charged with Article 340 of the Criminal Code regarding premeditated murder, subsidiary 338 for murder.

Meanwhile, the attorney for the suspect, Taufiq Dwi Kusuma, said that the perpetrator was not actually a bad boy. He was just an ordinary child and diligent in studying.

"Yesterday I had the chance to meet the perpetrator, his psychological condition was good and he cried because he was very sorry for his actions. He even met his parents and apologized. He had absolutely no intention of killing, but because his condition was confused, his girlfriend claimed to be pregnant," he said.

Taufik said that initially the perpetrator's intention was to bring fish poison to catch river fish in his village. However, due to the pregnancy confession from his girlfriend, the perpetrator diverted and drank to the victim.

He said the perpetrator was a minor. For this reason, he and his colleagues will try to get the person concerned to be placed in a child care institution.

"We will test it later in court, because the perpetrators are minors. Moreover, ideally, the perpetrators can be placed in child care institutions. On the other hand, the Kediri Police do not yet have (a location to detain minors). We hope that in the future there will be assistance from Fathers and psychologists," he said.
