Fadjroel: Only The President Knows The Cabinet Reshuffle
JAKARTA - The Presidential Special Staff for Communications, Fadjroel Rachman, emphasized that only President Joko Widodo is aware of whether or not there will be a cabinet reshuffle in the future in the government of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet.
"A cabinet reshuffle is the president's prerogative. No one knows whether there is a cabinet reshuffle or not, it's only in the hands of President Joko Widodo because it is his prerogative," said Fadjroel, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, September 28.
He emphasized that even if there was a lot of information circulating outside about the cabinet reshuffle, everything would be left to Jokowi's direct announcement.
What is clear at this time, continued Fadjroel, the coordinating ministers and ministers in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet, all focus on assisting the President in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly in three areas, namely health, social protection and economic recovery.
"And thank God what has been done during the PPKM period with various levels has now shown results and has received praise from a number of institutions in the world, that what we have done in dealing with COVID-19 is very successful and even for vaccination we are listed as a country that has very successful in carrying out vaccinations in Indonesia," he said.
Fadjroel emphasized that he was not in a position to evaluate Jokowi's ministers. However, according to him, since the beginning of Jokowi forming the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet on October 23, 2019, he has chosen the best Indonesian sons and daughters with clear goals.
Jokowi, called Fadjroel, has also emphasized that the only visions and missions of the president and vice president.
"There was no minister's vision and mission. At that time it was also conveyed, for example, all of his assistants should not be corrupt, like that. There were seven daily orders on October 23, 2019 and they were actually carried out. When a minister was involved in a corruption case, he invited the KPK to carry out its functions. It was like that," he explained.
Fadjroel also said that Jokowi had conveyed that all his staff had to work hard, work hard and be measured.
"So if we look at it until today, I am not in a position to make an assessment, but the president at least in my opinion, is still working with them to complete the visions and missions that have been announced at his appointment in the second term," he said.
