Fleeing See Officers, 2 Drug Dealers In Banjarmasin Hit Motorcycle Riders
KALSEL - The South Kalimantan Police managed to arrest two youths who controlled the circulation of 4.7 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine in Banjarmasin. The two perpetrators had the initials FA (27) and DI (18).
"The perpetrator was arrested while conducting a transaction for selling methamphetamine last Monday night," said the Director of Drug Investigation at the South Kalimantan Police, Kombes Tri Wahyudi, in Banjarmasin, as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, September 28.
The disclosure of the illegal business run by the two suspects stems from public information.
The Opsnal Team of Sub-Directorate 1 of the Narcotics Directorate of the South Kalimantan Police led by its Head of Sub-Directorate, AKBP Meilki Bharata, conducted monitoring for one week.
Until Monday night, the two were observed placing a black plastic package on Jalan Sutoyo S, Gang Ar Rahman, Banjarmasin City which turned out to contain three packages of methamphetamine weighing 520.5 grams.
Then the police chased the two who fled on a motorbike to Jalan Lambung Mangkurat.
"So the suspect hit someone and fell. From his trouser pocket, three more packages of 204.62 grams of methamphetamine were found," said Tri.
After that, a search was carried out at the suspect's home, on Jalan Belitung Darat and found 22 packages of methamphetamine weighing 3,918.57 grams, bringing the total confiscated evidence to 28 packages weighing 4,703.07 grams or about 4.7 kg.
Now the police are still developing their city network. Because it was allegedly involved a large-scale drug trafficking syndicate based on the amount of evidence confiscated.
Against both, investigators ensnared Article 114 paragraph (2) sub-Article 112 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 132 paragraph (1) of Law No. 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with a maximum threat of 20 years in prison.
