Discord Nitro Users Can Change Unique Avatars On Each Server
JAKARTA - Discord users using Nitro's paid service can now use different avatars on each of their servers. The option to change nickname has now changed to edit server profile.
Server avatars are a new customization feature for Nitro users. With server avatars, users can set different server-specific avatars for each server they are on.
Even if a user uploads a server avatar, their profile avatar will not be affected and remain as the primary avatar on the server. Like profile avatars, server avatars support both PNG and JPG formats. Nitro users can also upload GIFs for their server avatars. After uploading the server avatar, users can cut and arrange PNG and JPG files.
Quoting The Verge, Tuesday, September 28, how to change it is quite easy. Open Discord in a browser or desktop application, then right-click the avatar in the Server Member List on the right sidebar. Tap on the Edit Server Profile option and a pop-up window within the application will appear. Users can then tap on their avatar to upload their server avatar. Then, press the Save button to confirm the server avatar.
Not only that, Discord also announced that they are starting the launch of scheduled events, which will allow users to plan events in the next few days or weeks.
The company says it's seeing more communities using stage channels to connect with members, through open microphone events, or other large-scale discussions.
With scheduled events on Discord, users can create events and set dates, allow members to RSVP, then members in attendance will receive notifications when the event starts, and create invite links for specific events.
Members will also be able to browse the list of upcoming events on the server. The scheduled events feature will be available on desktop, iOS, and Android, and there is no time limit for moderators and admins to schedule events, but they can only host 100 events at a time.
