BTS, EXO, And Super Junior Are Reasons For Increasing Korean Tourism
JAKARTA - Hallyu still dominates South Korean tourism. The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO), the organization dealing with tourism in the Ginseng Country, announced the results of the survey on Thursday, July 16 yesterday.
As a result, Hallyu, otherwise known as the Korean wave, still ranks as the first reason people visit Korea. Hallyu is a word that means South Korean popular culture in Asia and around the world.
In a survey conducted with 12,663 visitors between August and September 2019, BTS became the K-pop artist with the most influences, accounting for 36.1 percent.
Following BTS, there is EXO with 10.4 percent and Super Junior with 8.2 percent. Next up are BIGBANG, Shinhwa, IU, Girls' Generation, and TWICE. Reporting from Soompi, Friday, the appearance and the music they made were positive aspects that attracted fans to get to know South Korea more deeply.
