Observers Said, Investigators Must Be Thorough In Uncovering The Murder Case Of Metro TV Editor
JAKARTA - One week into the investigation into the alleged murder case of Metro TV video editor Yodi Prabowo, the police have yet to find a bright spot. Provisional evidence and clues in the possession of the police have yet to reveal the mastermind behind the murder.
Criminologist from the University of Indonesia Ferdinand Andi Lolo said, to further optimize the evidence that has been found, investigators are advised to be more careful when examining it. Because, maybe something was missing from the evidence.
"The investigator will examine the evidence again, maybe they will find something new that has not yet been seen," Ferdinand told VOI, Friday, July 17.
He said, by examining the evidence more thoroughly, it was possible that new clues would be found that would become a bright spot in the disclosure of the case.
"Each case has a different level of difficulty. Investigators need to be more patient, more coordinated and review the evidence that has been obtained," said Ferdinand.
Furthermore, he said, investigators could spread Yodi's photos around the scene. This is intended to seek additional information from the community around the murder site.
"Can you ask for community help by distributing photos of the victims, who knows if anyone remembers or has met the victim," said Ferdinand.
Previously, the police had difficulty solving this case. Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Yusri Yunus said the quality of the CCTV images at the location was blurry, aka dark and made it difficult to reveal this case.
"So far, the two CCTVs we have found are unclear (blurry). Those are CCTV near the TKP," said Yusri in Jakarta, Tuesday, July 14.
The CCTV footage came from two different locations, namely, right on the edge of the toll road and a warehouse not far from the location where Yodi's body was found.
"We (CCTV footage) have to open it. There is a special tool from dark (turned into light). For example, a dark number plate does not appear to have a device that makes it light up to the maximum," said Yusri.
Yodi was found dead on Friday, July 10 on the side of the JORR Toll Road, Ulujami, Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta. The victim died allegedly because he was murdered. Yodi was found dead after three days of missing.
The Metro TV extended family expressed their deep condolences. His party asked the police to thoroughly investigate this case.
