Previously, the musician whose real name is Sir Robert Bryson Hall II announced the pregnancy of his wife, Brittney Noell in August last year. At that time he was also working on his sixth album.
Quoted from NME, this album will have a modern hip hop impression. The retirement tweet was also his first post after being active on Twitter in 2016.
Besides Logic, the album No Pressure was produced by No ID, who also produced Jay-Z, Kanye West, and Drake.
This news was met with disappointment by fans considering that Logic is one of the rappers known for voicing social messages in his songs. One of them is the song 1-800-273-8255 which was sung with Alessia Cara and Khalid.
The song tells that there is always help and suicide is not the answer to all problems. The number for the song's title is the phone number for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. This song is based on the story of someone calling the NSPL, after a conversation with the NSPL, he decided to live.
Apart from 1-800, Logic has many songs released in good discography. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with a number of musicians, namely Eminem, Gucci Mane, Wiz Khalifa, Will Smith, and many others.
The announcement of his retirement was also supported by fellow musicians, one of whom was Lil Nas X. He replied by writing, "Can't wait to hear your friends is an inspiration to many people."
Logic's newest and final album, No Pressure, will be released on July 24th.
