R Kelly Found Guilty In Sex Trafficking Cases
JAKARTA - Singer R Kelly was found guilty on charges of sex trafficking of minors on Monday, September 27, United States time.
The singer, whose real name is Robert Sylvester Kelly, was brought to court for several violations of the Mann Act relating to trafficking women for illegal sexual activities.
Several witnesses claimed Kelly committed this evil act when they were minors including singer Aaliyah who died in 2001. Quoting Sky News today, deputy attorney Nadia Shihata said, “Music, popularity and celebrity status allow her to do what she wants. want."
R Kelly was accused of intentionally transmitting sexually transmitted diseases and committing kidnappings, child pornography and forced labour.
Since the beginning of the trial, R Kelly has always denied the allegations from the witnesses. One of the women claimed the singer wanted to sexually train her when she was 16.
A man under the pseudonym Louis also said Kelly sexually assaulted him when he was 17 after inviting him to a music studio.
In addition, R Kelly is also still facing cases of child pornography, sexual abuse, and child prostitution in Illinois and Minnesota. He still denies all these accusations.
R Kelly is a singer who is known for a number of hits, one of which is I Believe I Can Fly. He is also a songwriter for dozens of singers, including Michael Jackson with the song You Are Not Alone. R Kelly's sentencing reading will be held on May 4, 2022.
