More Recovered Cases In East Kalimantan Than Positive Cases Of COVID-19
SAMARINDA - The number of recovered cases of COVID-19 in East Kalimantan Province on Monday was more than the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19.
Spokesman for the East Kalimantan COVID-19 Task Force, Andi Muhammad Ishak, said an additional 235 cases recovered, while the positive confirmed cases increased to 74 cases.
"We urge the public to continue to comply with health protocols, remember that virus transmission is still happening, so there needs to be a good synergy with the community so that this pandemic ends soon," said Andi Muhammad Ishak in Samarinda, quoted by Antara, Monday, September 27.
Andi said the additional recovered cases occurred in Berau with 46 cases, West Kutai 3 cases, Kutai Kartanegara 10 cases, East Kutai 21 cases, Paser 12 cases, North Penajam Paser 3 cases, Balikpapan 17 cases, Bontang 104 cases and Samarinda 19 cases.
While additional positive confirmed cases occurred in Berau with 11 cases, West Kutai 2 cases, Kutai Kartanegara 15 cases, East Kutai 7 cases, Mahakam Ulu 1 case, Paser 1 case, North Penajam Paser 3 cases, Bontang 19 cases and Samarinda 5 cases.
"The accumulation of positive confirmed cases of COVID-19 in East Kalimantan is 156,592 cases, while those who have been declared cured are 149,888 cases," said Andi.
Andi added that there were still four deaths, with details of two cases occurring in Kutai Kartanegara and the rest in Berau and Bontang.
"The total number of COVID-19 deaths in East Kalimantan is 5,367 people," Andi added.
Based on data from the East Kalimantan Province COVID-19 Task Force, there are currently 1,337 patients who are still undergoing treatment.
The patients were spread over 362 people in Bontang, 249 people in Balikpapan, 245 people in Kutai Kartanegara, 180 people in Berau and 99 people in Samarinda.
Furthermore, East Kutai 78 people, Paser 50 people, North Panajam Paser 44 people, West Kutai 17 people and Mahakam Ulu 12 people.
