The Attorney General's Office Examines Alex Noerdin's Brother Regarding Corruption PDPDE Gas South Sumatra

JAKARTA - Investigators of the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes at the Attorney General's Office examined Joes Noerdin, the younger brother of Alex Noerdin, a suspect in the alleged corruption case in the purchase of natural gas by BUMD, the Regional Mining and Energy Company (PDPDE) of South Sumatra Gas for the 2010-2019 period.

The Head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) at the Attorney General's Office, Leonard Eben Ezer Simanjuntak, said that there were two witnesses being questioned regarding the South Sumatra Gas PDPDE.

"The two witnesses were examined in relation to the further Investigation Report (BAP) regarding the four corruption suspects in the South Sumatra PDPDE Gas," Leonard said as quoted by Antara, Monday, September 27.

Two witnesses examined, namely JN referred to Joes Noerdin, as Director of PT. Grita Artha Kreamindo. The second witness, with the initials AK, referred to Arief Kadarsyah as the President Director of the South Sumatra PDPDE.

Jampidsus investigators at the Attorney General's Office have named four suspects in this case, namely Alex Noerdin (AN), the Governor of South Sumatra for the period 2008-2013 and 2013-2018.

In addition to Alex Noerdin, investigators from the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) of the Indonesian Attorney General's Office also named one other suspect, namely Muddai Mandang, as Director of PT Dika Karya Lintas Nusa (DKLN) and also President Director of South Sumatra PDPDE.

Previously, investigators of the 'Round Building' had named former PDPDE President Director of South Sumatra Caca Isa Saleh S and A Yaniarsyah Hasan as suspects. In this case, Yuniarsyah also serves as Director of DKLN concurrently Director of PT PDPDE Gas.

The composition of share ownership in the project is 15 percent for South Sumatra PDPDE and 85 percent for DKLN. From the calculation of the Financial Audit Agency (BPK), the state financial loss in this case amounted to 30,194 million US dollars.

The nominal is derived from the revenue from gas sales minus operating costs for 2010-2019. Meanwhile, other losses amounting to US$63,750 and Rp2.131 billion were paid in capital that should not have been paid by PDPDE Gas Sumsel.
