KALSEL - DPRD Kotabaru South Kalimantan (Kalsel) agreed that Rp37.5 billion of funds for the construction of the new DPRD building in Sebelimbingan be transferred to ring one area or areas affected by mining activities.

"If possible, the planned activities to be carried out in 2021 are reviewed, and the funds for the DPRD building plan are shifted to construction in ring one on the Mediterranean Island," said Kotabaru DPRD chairman, Sairi Mukhlis in Kotabaru, Antara, Monday, September 27. .

The construction of the DPRD building, which is located about 15 kilometers from the city center, uses committed funds from the coal mining company PT Sebuku Tanjung Coal (STC) as compensation for the issuance of a mining business permit (IUP) by the Kotabaru Regency Government.

The chairman of the Kotabaru DPRD invites them not to focus on the construction of infrastructure, roads, bridges, and so on.

"But in order to increase the human resources of our children in Kotabaru Regency, we also need to get a sufficient budget allocation," he said.

PT Sebuku Tanjung Coal's Corporate Social Responsibility, Kahrani, said he would convey the problem to management. "We will convey all the results of the hearing to management," he said.
