CENTRAL JAVA - The number of visitors to Borobudur Temple in Magelang Regency, Central Java, during the trial opening of this tourist attraction was not significant.
This was conveyed by the General Manager of the Manohara Unit and the Borobudur Unit, Jamaludin Mawardi. He said, visitors to Borobudur Temple during this trial period on weekdays ranged from 300 people per day and on weekends around 1,000 people per day.
The Borobudur Temple tourist park has conducted a trial opening for tourist visits since September 18, 2021. In accordance with the provisions of the Central Java Province COVID-19 Task Force, the maximum visit quota during this trial period is 4,000 people per day.
"Visitors have not been significant, because there is a provision that visitors must be vaccinated and are not allowed to bring children," he said as quoted by Antara, Monday, September 27.
According to him, the two things that affect the interest of tourists or thwart tourists who have traveled or arrived at Borobudur must turn back.
"The incident was quite passable, it was recorded that on Sunday, September 26 there were around 120 tourists who had to turn back because they had not been vaccinated or brought their children," he said.
He said that visitors' adherence to health protocols must indeed be tightened, starting to enter they must apply 3M, namely wearing masks for all visitors.
"If someone doesn't wear a mask, we reprimand them, then wash their hands in the handwashing area provided or use the hand sanitizer that is already available. Then keep your distance and avoid crowds by making appeals that direct tourists to obey signs so they don't gather together, keep distance, and so on.
He conveyed the provisions from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy for the purpose of testing the substance, those who were allowed to enter were those who had been vaccinated with dose 1 or dose 2.
Those who have been vaccinated can be proven by using the Peduli Protect application and it will appear green, yellow, red or black.
"For visitors, for example, those who do not know technology, we are not too familiar with Android, so we help, but if they don't have a cell phone, we ask them to show proof of vaccination in the form of a vaccination card/certificate. come in," he said.
