Signals Messaging Platform Crashes, Over 1000 Users Affected

JAKARTA - Encrypted instant messaging platform Signal said Monday, September 27 morning that some users were unable to be active due to a hosting outage affecting some of its services.

Reports by affected users peaked at 1,308 as of Sunday evening, according to outage tracking site Downdetector.com.

Downdetector says most of the problems reported by users are with messaging, server connections and with the app itself in the United States.

Currently, the number of user reports stands at 337, according to the outage tracking website.
