Indihome Users Will Get Compensation, Telkom Opens All Cable TV Channels
JAKARTA – After Indihome experienced a disruption that caused its internet network to slow down and received a number of protests from users, Telkom finally revealed that it would only compensate users in the form of access to all cable TV broadcasts that were previously restricted.
Therefore, general users will be able to watch various cable TV shows provided by Indihome. Thus the channels that can be watched are no longer limited according to the subscription package.
Kurniawan as Vice President Marketing Management Telkom stated that all Indihome TV channels were opened starting Sunday, September 26, 2021 yesterday. Meanwhile, to access all broadcasts, Indihome users only need to restart the STB.
"To activate all-channel opening, customers only need to restart the STB," said Kurniawan.
However, access to all cable TV channels will only last until October 15, 2021. However, until now there is no information whether Indihome users who do not subscribe to cable TV will receive compensation in other forms or not.
Previously, Telkom only provided compensation in the form of delaying the payment limit for Indihome internet subscriptions until September 25 and also eliminating late payment penalties.
It seems that users are not satisfied with the compensation in the form of delaying internet payments and removing fines only. The reason is that the internet has experienced a disturbance again recently, which has sparked protests from Indihome users on social media.
"Currently, Indihome services are 100 percent normal," said Kurniawan, reporting the current conditions.
Kurniawan also apologized for the inconvenience experienced by his customers and thanked them for still trusting Indihome's internet service. For further compensation information, customers can contact call center 147 or report to Plasa Telkom which is around the customer's domicile.
