After Minister Luhut, Police Will Check Haris Azhar And Fatia Maulida

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya has finished clarifying the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan as the reporter for the alleged defamation case. In the near future, the police will examine Haris Azhar and Fatia Maulida as reported parties.

"Today (Luhut B Pandjaitan) has arrived, we have taken his statement and it is complete. Our follow-up plan will clarify that we will also invite the reported person," said Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Yusri Yunus to reporters, Monday, September 27.

However, regarding the schedule for the examination of the two whistleblowers, Yusri said he could not confirm it. The reason, investigators will determine.

"Soon we will schedule it," he said.

Moreover, in handling this case the investigative team prioritizes restorative justice. Where, this is in line with the Circular (SE) of the Chief of Police in handling matters relating to ITE.

"There is a circular letter from the National Police Chief regarding issues like this. What we put forward is mediation. Mediation is at the investigation stage," said Yusri.

But if later in the mediation process it doesn't go well. This means that the two parties cannot find an agreement, so the criminal process will still be carried out.

"If there is an agreement, thank God, if not, this case will continue later. Just waiting for the process," said Yusri.

Previously, Luhut had finished clarifying the alleged defamation case. The clarification process took about an hour. Meanwhile, this report relates to Haris Azhar and Fatia's statements on YouTube content. Where, the video content is entitled 'There is Lord Luhut Behind Intan Jaya's Economic Relations-Military Ops, BIN General Also Exists'.

The report has been registered with the number STTLP/B/4702/IX/2021/SPKT/POLDA METRO JAYA, 22 September 2021. In the report, the reported parties are suspected of violating Article 45 in conjunction with Article 27 of the ITE Law.
