Being A Corruption Suspect, DPR Leaders Hold A Meeting To Determine Acting Replacement For Azis Syamsuddin
JAKARTA - The DPR leadership has scheduled a meeting to discuss the problems that hit the Deputy Speaker of the DPR, Azis Syamsuddin. Azis is currently a suspect in a bribery case.
One of the agenda items for the meeting was the executive (Plt) to fill the position of deputy chairman of the DPR in the field of political and security coordination (Korpolkam).
Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Sufmi Dasco Ahmad ensured that the duties of the DPR RI leadership would not be disrupted even if Azis Syamsuddin could not carry out his duties.
“The leadership of the DPR is a collegial collective. There is a leadership meeting mechanism to delegate the Acting when one person is absent," said Dasco at the DPR Building, Monday, September 27.
However, regarding who will become the Acting Officer, Dasco is still waiting for the leadership meeting to be held today.
"We just want to tidy up today," said the head of the field of My Correction.
Dasco emphasized that the leadership of the DPR RI will not intervene and will always respect the legal process at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
"We appreciate the legal process carried out by the KPK," the daily chairman of the Gerindra Party DPP.
