Police Call The Mastermind Of The Kiwirok Police Attack Is KKB Leader Lamek Alipki Taplo

JAKARTA - The National Police stated that the perpetrators of the attack on the Kiwirok Sector Police that caused the death of Bharatu Muhammad Kurniadi Sutio were the Papuan Armed Criminal Group (KKB) led by Lamek Alipki Taplo. The attack was carried out while members were on guard.

"The perpetrator from the KKB led by Lamek Alipki Taplo attacked while members of the TNI-Polri guarding," said Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police, Kombes Mustafa Kamal to VOI, Sunday, September 26.

With the attack, the Nemangkawi Task Force immediately conducted a sweep around the Kiwirok Police Station. Because, the possibility of KKB is still around the location.

"Joint TNI-Polri personnel continue to pursue the Armed Criminal Group led by Lamek Alipki Taplo," said Kamal.

Previously, the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) attacked members of the TNI-Polri who were at the Kiwirok Police Station. As a result of the attack, a member of the Indonesian National Police, Bharatu Muhammad Kurniadi Sutio, was shot and killed.

"The shootout resulted in the death of one member of the Nemangkawi Task Force," said Kamal.

The gunfight began when members of the TNI-Polri stood guard at the Kiwirok Police Station. However, at around 04.50 WIT, members of the KKB led by Lamek Alipki Taplo attacked and ended up shooting each other.

"Bharatu Muhammad Kurniadi Sutio received a gunshot wound under his right armpit," said Kamal.
