Firman Noor Praises Airlangga's Extraordinary Energy For Conducting Political Communication With Various Figures, Such As Muhaimin Iskandar And Ganjar Pranowo
JAKARTA- The Head of the Political Research Center of the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI) Prof. Dr. Firman Noor, MA responded to the recent maneuvers of the DPP Chairman of the Golkar Party, Airlangga Hartarto, such as meeting with Muhaimin Iskandar and Ganjar Pranowo.
The researcher who is also the youngest professor at LIPI assesses that Airlangga Hartarto has extraordinary energy in conducting constructive friendships with various figures and elements of the nation.
His meeting with the Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo and the General Chairperson of the PKB Muhaimin Iskandar, usually called Cak Imin, proved his readiness to establish and build good political communication. "After yesterday's billboard war, now it's a war on land. But it's good," said Firman Noor to reporters in Jakarta, Sunday, September 26.
Firman admitted that it was normal for Airlangga and Ganjar to meet in Klaten on Friday, then Airlangga met with PKB Chairman Muhaimin for a walk on Saturday morning, both of whom dismissed the notion that the meeting discussed politics leading to the 2024 presidential election.
Regarding Airlangga Hartarto's meeting with Ganjar, Firman Noor stated that it was unavoidable because both of them were in the middle of a national political vortex. "Ganjar continues to be in the spotlight because of his good performance in Central Java, so he has been mentioned as one of the potential figures in the future. Some have even declared him a 2024 presidential candidate," said Firman Noor.
If Ganjar Pranowo has become increasingly "ignorant" with Megawati Soekarno Putri, the General Chair of the PDIP. "It's hard to avoid that impression," said Firman Noor.
Regarding Airlangga Hartarto's meeting with Muhaimin Iskandar, according to Firman, it was already expected to happen. "Just not this fast. Pak Airlangga's energy is abundant, as if he is relentless," said Firman Noor.
"I think whatever is discussed is related to how to build good political communication," Firman added.
"Airlangga is now getting closer to the ulama, Cak Imin has always been attached to NU. So this is very interesting," he said.
Firman believes that from the various steps and political communications carried out by Airlangga Hartarto, it will influence public opinion or opinion, and increase his electability.
He stated that the momentum was now in the hands of Airlangga Hartarto. "I'm sure Pak Airlangga Hartarto continues to think about how to build good and constructive communication with all figures, especially party leaders. Also trying to get good momentum to improve Golkar's performance in the future. In this case how Golkar becomes the first choice, not the second, " he explained.
