The Withdrawal Of The Colosseum Award Is Evidence Of The DKI Provincial Government's Inaccuracy
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government officially revokes the 2019 Adikarya Wisata award at the Colosseum Jakarta discotheque. The Colosseum received awards from the club and discotheque categories with a total of 31 award categories.
Regional Secretary of DKI Saefullah admitted that the ranks of the DKI Tourism and Culture Office were not careful in selecting the tourism companies that received awards.
"Based on the facts (proving) the team's (selection) stages were not careful, the 2019 Adikarya Wisata award at the Colloseum was declared canceled," said Saefullah at City Hall, Central Jakarta, Monday, December 16.
Moreover, the process of signing the award from the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan was affixed with a printed signature. This means that Anies does not sign directly using a pen.
"The determination of the winner of the 2019 tourism masterpiece will be marked with a printed signature, not the governor's wet signature. So, this process is from Disparbud," said Saefullah.
Saefullah continued, the fact of the inaccuracy of the selection team, both Disparbud and the jury was proven from the findings of the DKI Provincial National Narcotics Agency (BNNP) on Sunday, September 8.
The Jakarta National Narcotics Agency (BNNP) secured 34 visitors to the Colosseum and 1001 hotels who tested positive for narcotics after taking urine tests. 19 of them were men and 15 were women.
Then, Disparbud has summoned and issued a written warning letter to the Colosseum and has been asked to make a written statement. The Colosseum should promote intensive surveillance on visitors.
Starting today, continued Saefullah, Anies has ordered the inspectorate to check the ranks involved in the assessment process. The ranks involved are temporarily relieved of their duties during the examination.
"In the future, we will conduct a rigorous study of the procedures and criteria for assessing the award for tourism work. So, this must be really, more careful," he said.
Furthermore, until now the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has not given strict sanctions against the Colosseum. In fact, in Article 54 Paragraph (1) of DKI Governor Regulation Number 18 of 2018, it is stated that every tourism company management has been proven to have allowed the circulation, sale and use of narcotics and / or other psychotropic substances at the location of tourism business in 1 (one) management shall revoke the Tourism Business Registration Certificate (TDUP) directly.
The reason is that the DKI Provincial Government needs further coordination with the DKI BNNP. Although the recommendation letter containing the results of BNNP's operations has been reported, it is not enough to revoke the Colosseum's business license.
"We want a coordination meeting first with the BNNP. What are the recommendations from the BNNP. If based on the facts that happened, I will tell you, there is a warning, a statement, there is not enough condition to close it," he said.
Separately, the Head of the DKI BNNP, Brigadier General Tagam Sinaga, said that the decision to close the Colosseum discotheque license which was proven to have drug use was the authority of the DKI Provincial Government.
"We just told us that there was a raid, we found that there were positive users, then we rehabilitated it, then we conveyed it to the BNN and the DKI Provincial Government as the licensors," said Tagam when contacted by VOI.
"Whether our recommendations are used or not, that is the authority of the provincial government," he added.
