Ministry Of Trade Tests PeduliLindung Implementation In People's Markets
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Trade will conduct a trial of the implementation of the health protocol through the PeduliLindung application in the people's market.
"There are several people's markets that will be tested by taking into account the vaccination rate of traders and people's market managers," said Trade Minister M Lutfi as quoted by Antara, Saturday, September 25.
This was conveyed by the Minister of Trade while reviewing the Badung Market, Denpasar, Bali. The review was accompanied by the Director General of Domestic Trade Oke Nurwan, Deputy Governor of Bali Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardhana, and Denpasar Mayor I Gusti Ngurah Jaya Negara.
Lutfi continued, there were several considerations for the implementation of the PeduliLindung application trial implementation in the people's market. Among them, traders and people's market managers have been vaccinated 100 percent.
In addition, the people's market has implemented health protocols according to the recommendations of the Ministry of Trade.
The people's market also has access to entrances and exits that can be controlled by the manager, and has standard operating procedures (SOPs) in implementing health protocols and providing human resources in implementing the PeduliLindung application.
"The PeduliLindung SOP is very important so that it can coexist with COVID-19 because this pandemic will not end quickly and economic activities can resume," said the Trade Minister.
Based on the proposal of the Indonesian Market Management Association (Asparindo), the implementation of the PeduliLindungi application will be tested in six markets, namely Mayestik Market (Jakarta), Blok M Market (Jakarta), Baltos Market (Bandung City), BSD Modern Market (South Tangerang City), Market Modern 8 Alam Sutera (Tangerang City), and Wonodri Market (Semarang City).
The six markets have received a QR Code from the Ministry of Health.
According to the Trade Minister, the successful implementation of the PeduliLindung application in the people's market is highly dependent on the awareness and active role of the community in controlling COVID-19 and the readiness of human resources managing the people's market, particularly in socializing, examining, and monitoring the implementation of the PeduliLindung application.
In addition, it is necessary to prepare infrastructure for COVID-19 prevention in the people's market, such as hand washing facilities, hand sanitizers, and masks.
Based on a survey conducted by the Ministry of Trade, the vaccination rate for market traders nationally reached 62 percent. Meanwhile, in Badung Market, the vaccination rate for traders and managers has reached 100 percent with a COVID-19 control index score of 69.
"The implementation of the PeduliLindung application as well as the vaccination of traders and market managers which reached 100 percent, are expected to increase trust and security for consumers to shop back at people's markets and increase the turnover of market traders," said the Minister of Trade.
