It's Good That Street Vendors In Banjarmasin Get Cash Assistance From President Jokowi
BANJARMASIN - The Banjarmasin Police have distributed the first phase of cash assistance from President Joko Widodo to street vendors (PKL) and stalls who have been economically affected by COVID-19.
"The current COVID-19 case does not only have an impact on health, but also has an impact on the economic sector in this city," said Deputy Chief of Banjarmasin Police AKBP Sabana Atmojo, quoted by Antara, Saturday, September 25.
In order to provide support for affected street vendors, especially in the micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) sector, the government has launched the Cash Assistance Program for Street Vendors and Stalls (BTPKLW) in each region.
The distribution of the assistance was assisted by the Banjarmasin Police as a place provider and the implementation took place at the Banjarmasin Police Headquarters Rupatama.
AKBP Sabana said the target of aid would be distributed to 4,500 people who had previously been recorded by bhabinkamtibmas personnel, but only 4,413 people verified.
"For this first stage, in the letter of determination there are 200 people, but only 146 people can be distributed," he said, while directly monitoring the distribution of the aid.
Then, of the 146 people who were not distributed as many as 14 people because the NIK was wrong.
On the sidelines of distributing the aid, the Wakapolresta advised the people who received the Rp1,200,000 fund to use it as well as possible.
"Use the best possible use of this cash assistance for things that are useful for the necessities of life," he said.
Meanwhile, a resident of North Banjarmasin District M Hashfi, one of the recipients of cash assistance from traders, expressed his gratitude to the government.
"Thank you President Jokowi for the cash assistance for us street vendors and stalls," he said.
In addition, M Hashfi also thanked the leadership of the National Police, especially the Banjarmasin Police, as a provider of aid disbursement services.
"We didn't have to wait long for the disbursement process and the service staff were very friendly and we received the help right away," he said.
