Users Complain That The Audio On Instagram Disappeared After The IOS 15 Update, Here's How To Fix It

JAKARTA - Apple has just released iOS 15, but not long ago users installed the latest operating system, some of whom complained that the audio in their Instagram Stories disappeared.

However, it will not happen unless the user activates the iPhone ring button. The complaint began when several Apple device users flocked to Reddit, claiming silent mode had been causing problems on Instagram since iOS 15 was installed on their devices.

Facebook as the owner of Instagram did not confirm whether the problem was specifically related to iOS 15. Seeing that the complaints were not only conveyed by a few users, Instagram immediately fixed the bug.

"We're aware that some people are having trouble hearing their audio on Instagram Stories. We're working to fix this issue as quickly as possible and apologize for the inconvenience," Facebook said as quoted by The Verge, Saturday, September 25.

To do this, open the App Store, tap the profile icon in the upper right corner, and drag down on the screen to refresh the list of available app updates. To get this update, device users must have Instagram version 206.1, so it can fix the annoying ring button bug.

This event has been a problem since iOS 15 was first released in beta. Instagram mutes the audio in Stories if the iPhone ringer is switched to mute. However, this is not how the ring button works, it just mutes the sound for texts, calls and alarms, not the sound in the app.
