SOE Minister Erick Thohir Review COVID-19 Vaccination In Medan
MEDAN - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir reviewed the implementation of the COVID-19 vaccination which was held at the Padang Golf Malibu Housing, Medan City, North Sumatra.
This vaccination activity was organized by the North Sumatran Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) in collaboration with the Medan City Government and the Artha Graha Group.
Minister Erick Tohir appreciated the vaccination activities carried out by the private sector to assist the government in accelerating vaccination in order to realize community communal immunity or herd immunity.
"Of course this is a positive thing when there is a private party that helps accelerate the vaccination process," he said accompanied by the Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Arsjad Rasjid and the Mayor of Medan Bobby Nasution, quoted by Antara, Saturday, September 25.
Erick Thohir also reminded the public to adhere to health protocols, namely wearing masks, washing hands with soap and running water, maintaining distance, staying away from crowds, and limiting mobilization and interaction.
"According to what the President said, we must remain vigilant, of course, by continuing to wear masks and this vaccine as the main key to preventing COVID-19," he said.
Meanwhile, Mayor of Medan Bobby Nasution said that this collaboration is a form of cooperation between the government and the private sector in the prevention and control of COVID-19 in Medan City, in particular to accelerate the vaccination process.
"This activity is very helpful for the Medan City Government. Because the dose comes directly from Kadin, not from the Medan City Government. Because yesterday the inability of the City Government was not about vaccination but about the dose. So with assistance like this it is very good and very supportive," he said.
The COVID-19 vaccination activity is planned to last for two months with a daily target of 700 to 1,000 vaccine recipients.
