Cilacap Police Chief Speaks About Two Residents Arrested When President Jokowi Passed
CILACAP - Cilacap Resort Police facilitated the delivery of representatives of the Director of LPK Sonagi Cilacap. This was done by the Cilacap Police to clarify the information regarding the arrest of residents who unfurled posters during President Joko Widodo's visit to Cilacap Regency on Thursday, September 23.

Regarding yesterday's security, something was secured from the community to us, the police, so that today we convey our aspirations to the community so that the communication channel from LPK Sonagi Cilacap with the relevant agencies, I hope, can continue to work in synergy. So that people's aspirations can be conveyed," explained Cilacap Police Chief AKBP Leganek Mawardi, through Cilacap Police Public Relations Gatot Tri Hartanto, via a short message received by VOI, Saturday, September 25.
The Leganek Police Chief also explained that the two residents who were detained were only recorded and given guidance and direction, then released.
"Yesterday, after being detained, they were immediately released and data collection was carried out and given guidance and direction. I conveyed that from LPK Sonagi Cilacap, they did not know how to convey their aspirations," said the Police Chief.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Turinah as Director of LPK Sonagi Cilacap, gave information to her two students who planned to unfurl posters when President Jokowi passed by.
"That yesterday the plan was to welcome the arrival of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, and it turns out that yesterday's activity was considered to have violated the rules, so we apologize for our actions and our students during the visit of President Joko Widodo in Cilacap. We did this to convey the aspiration that many of our students failed to leave. so that many have been delayed which resulted in the certificates being expired. The actions we took yesterday were not planned, "explained Turinah.
Arif Setiono, one of the residents who was detained by the police and a member of the PP mass organization while conducting security, admitted that he was not arrested.
"I was not arrested by the police, I was taken to the Sector Police instead, instead they were guided and given directions and there I was even given food and drink. I would like to thank the police who are willing to guide and facilitate everything to me. positioned myself to convey my aspirations to the President in Cilacap," explained Arif Setiono.
