Chairman of the Indonesian Olympic Committee (KOI), Raja Sapta Oktohari, is optimistic that he can realize President Jokowi's ambition. According to him, many factors could make the International Olympic Committee (IOC) choose Indonesia.

One of them is Indonesia's success in holding the Asian Games and the 2018 Asian Para Games. Not to mention that Indonesia will host the U-20 World Cup. In addition, no country in Southeast Asia has ever been appointed to host the Olympics.

"It is time for Southeast Asia to host," said the man who is familiarly called Raja Okto, to the media in Jakarta.

A program to support Indonesia's nomination to host the 2032 Olympics has been prepared from an early age. Of course, KOI coordinates with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.

In fact, KOI has also held an audience with the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta regarding this plan. In this meeting, many things were discussed. Including an increase in facilities so that it is feasible to hold an international championship.

The man who is also the Chairman of PB ISSI also expressed the interest of KOI to make campaign materials about Indonesia's readiness to host the 2032 Olympics. He said one strategy was to highlight the legacy of the Asian Games which could still be used as venues for the 2032 Olympics.

Indeed, the inheritance is mostly located in the DKI Jakarta area. According to Raja Okto, venue heritage is an important element in Indonesia's nomination as host.

"This is important considering that many countries invest in building new venues to host," he said.
