Regarding HIP Bill And Omnibus Law Create Work Bill, Deputy Speaker Of The House Of Representatives: Not True Today We Confirm
JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian Parliament, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, emphasized that there will be no ratification of the Pancasila Ideology Policy Bill (HIP) and the Omnibus Law Bill on Work Creation.
This statement was conveyed to deny the issue of ratifying the two draft laws into law in the closing plenary session of the fourth session of the 2019-2020 session year.
"We have conveyed to community leaders and religious scholars who asked us for information, that it was not true that today there were reports that there were two ratifications of the bill, namely the HIP Bill and the Omnibus Law Bill," Dasco told reporters at the parliament building, Senayan, Jakarta. Center, Thursday, July 16th.
He explained that the plenary meeting which will be held at 13.30 WIB will be held to close the session before the recess will be held on July 17 to August 16 or for a month.
"I make sure there is no ratification of the Draft Law on HIP into Laws and / or the Omnibus Law Bill to become the Omnibus Law. It does not exist," he said.
The deputy chairman of the Gerindra Party asked that when there were issues circulating, community leaders, religious scholars, and the public had to go back to check the truth of the issue. Because, confusing things can make the situation not conducive.
Furthermore, regarding the HIP Bill, Dasco said the government would officially hand over their stance in a letter this afternoon. However, he himself did not know the contents of the letter.
"We will see how the government's attitude today and I can not imagine because I have not seen it. Only later will it be submitted," he said.
"However, if the government states that it is rejecting it or does not want to discuss it, we will do it according to the applicable mechanisms and rules," he added.
He explained that if the government rejects the HIP Bill, which is an initiative of the DPR RI, the next step is to carry out the discussion at the Deliberative Council meeting (Bamus) and in the plenary session.
"If there are other developments we will put them in the agenda of the opening meeting or the next session period," he concluded.
