Want To Escape, Pekanbaru Detainee Arrested By Officers When Jumping Fence, Will Not Get Remission

PEKANBARU - Class I Pekanbaru State Detention Center (Rutan) officers thwarted a prison inmate (WBP) with the initials S while trying to escape by jumping over the fence.

"The man with the initial S tried to climb over the guardrail in the front area and enter the sterile area without using any tools," said Pekanbaru Detention Center psychologist Agnes as quoted by Antara, Friday, September 24.

Before leaving the detention center, the top 3 postal officer immediately saw S. The officer reported the incident via HT to the head of the security team, then forwarded it to the Head of the Class I Rutan Rutan Security Unit (KPR) Pekanbaru.

Agnes said the Head of KPR and the ranks immediately carried out security to the sterile area in the detention center, then secured the surrounding neighborhood blocks.

The officers were immediately able to secure S who was hiding in the ditch in the sterile area. After being secured without a fight, said Agnes again, S was immediately taken to the detention center for examination.

Furthermore, the inmates who tried to escape from detention underwent a psychological examination using observation instruments and in-depth interviews.

"The person concerned is in good physical condition. However, psychologically there is a stress disorder that is stimulated by dreaming of a family continuously for a week," said Agnes.

He explained that Detainee S was an inmate caught in a theft case with a sentence of 1 year and 2 months with a remaining sentence of 6 months.

For the attempted escape, he said, S received internal punishment in the form of silence or cell seclusion for 6 days.

In addition, the person concerned will not get social integration rights, in the form of assimilation, remission, or conditional leave.
