Ganjar Pranowo Meets Airlangga Hartarto, Talks About Coalition For The 2024 Presidential Election?

JAKARTA – There was a special guest who came when Airlangga Hartarto was doing various activities in Klaten. One of them is the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Paranowo. The two met at the Ki Ageng Gribig haul event in Jatinom, Klaten, Friday, September 24. Are the two talking about the 2024 presidential election coalition?

The meeting of the two figures who are predicted to become a duet of national leaders also took place on the sidelines of the Andum Apem event, a tradition that has been carried out for hundreds of years.

After the release ceremony was over, Airlangga and Ganjar were seen talking seriously for about 30 minutes at Grandmother Reksodiharjo's house, in Jatinom, Klaten. This place is known as a sacred area for local residents. Not many know exactly what they were talking about.

When asked about the coalition plan with Ganjar Pranowo towards the 2024 presidential election, Airlangga diplomatically refused to answer. "It's still September 2021, it's still a long way off," said Airlangga.

Ganjar was the same when the media asked about the 2024 presidential election coalition. "Ah, journalists, keep asking questions," said Ganjar Paranowo.

When several media stated that the two were suitable as a couple in the 2024 presidential election, as predicted by several observers, Ganjar and Airlangga did not want to answer. “Ah sopo observer (ah who is the observer)?” Ganjar said.

Airlangga Hartarto also answered jokingly. "The first observer is sopo, the second sing, sopo sing is observed (first who is the observer? The second is who is observed)," said the General Chair of the Golkar Party.

In an opportunity to meet the media, Airlangga stated that this meeting was related to the Yaqowiyu event which would continue to be preserved. In addition, it is also about handling Covid and economic recovery.

Regarding the handling of COVID-19 and economic recovery, Airlangga stated that the handling of the pandemic in Klaten was getting better. "Currently PPKM in Klaten has dropped to level 3 and the implementation of vaccinations has also become more massive, but it must be increased," said Airlangga.

Furthermore, regarding economic recovery, Airlangga hopes that it will continue to be improved and the poverty rate in Java that still exists, both in West Java and Central Java, must continue to be lowered. "According to President Jokowi's directives, this absolute poverty rate must be eliminated, in June 2024," said Airlangga.

In addition to holding a meeting at the sacred place, Airlangga Hartarto and Ganjar Paranowo also released the distribution of apem cakes to the public using online motorcycle taxis. This event was in the pre-COVID period, usually done by throwing apem to the visitors who attended. However, in the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic, the distribution of apem that was thrown into the community is no longer possible. Therefore, the committee initiated the distribution through online motorcycle taxis such as Gojek and Grab.
