COVID-19 Update As Of September 24: New Cases 2,557, Active Cases 45,803
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 252,596 specimens were examined with the result that there were 2,557 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4,204,116 people and 45,803 active cases", according to data from the Ministry of Health, Friday, September 24.
Today's recovered cases increased by 4,607 cases, bringing the total to 4,017,055 recovered people. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 144 people and a total of 141,258 people.
The province with the newest cases was in Central Java with 286 cases and a total of 480,688 cases. Followed by East Java which has 219 new cases with a total of 394,399 cases. West Java has 217 new cases and a total of 701,723 cases. Then, DKI Jakarta has 181 new cases and a total of 856,931 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to Aceh with an additional 880 recovered cases. Followed by East Java with an additional 357 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 328 recovered cases, and DKI Jakarta with an additional 327 recovered cases.

No province has reported any new cases as of today. In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 37,601,537.
"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 2.19 percent", he wrote.
The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 370,614 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
To date, 84,863,899 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 47,708,141 people have received the second dose of vaccination.
While the third dose of vaccination has been followed by 890,455 people. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
